The Verses Project Artist Grant will support Sasha Melo’s project, a 6-track mix tape, set to be released this spring.

The Verses Project Artist Grant will support Nathanology’s upcoming project titled “The Hip Hop History of World Philosophy”, documenting human thought in its development from its origins to today.

The Verses Project Artist Grant will support The R.H.Y.M.E. program, which v uses hip hop to give students an opportunity to develop “mic skills and life skills.” They learn figurative language, improvisation, creative writing and thinking, and poetry, all while having fun. Students use the elements of hip hop to discover their voice (emceeing), movement (breaking), a community (DJing), and their name (graffiti).

The Verses Project Artist Grant will support True’s project, Ebb and Flow, which explores two sides of a women’s perspective after a chance encounter with a potential love interest.

What started as an idea for a scholarship fund to honor Jason’s memory in the moment, has turned into an opportunity to bring his vision to fruition perhaps for a lifetime, one inspiring artist at a time.
